Mopla
Mopla was a digital Deutschlandticket provider from Munich — known for its 24-hour cancellation policy, which was removed in February 2026, causing a mass user exodus.
What is Mopla?
Mopla (formerly Green Mobility) was a Munich-based startup that sold the Deutschlandticket digitally through an app. Mopla positioned itself as a „flexible" alternative to traditional transit companies and gained attention in 2025 with a 24-hour cancellation policy.
Mopla and the Removal of the 24-Hour Pause
In February 2026, Mopla removed the popular 24-hour pause feature and changed the cancellation period to end of the following month. This change led to massive criticism and a wave of cancellations:
- Users could no longer pause their ticket on short notice
- The new cancellation period meant users had to pay for at least 1–2 more months
- Mopla received massive negative reviews on app stores and social media
- The app store rating dropped to 2.9 out of 5 stars (as of 2026)
